Tax Research

Perform research on topics as identified by client and make recommendation to client given the facts of the case. Prior research topics have included form 1099 reporting, supplemental wages, corporate sponsorship, unrelated business income and more.

 

General Ledger Account Analysis

Provide detailed analysis of account activity and research variances and/or discrepancies in balances and individual transactions.

 

Staff Training

Interview finance staff for hire on behalf of client and provide training and interim supervision.

 

Cash Management and Short-Term Investment Analysis

Evaluate cash position and research short term investments.

 

Budget Preparation

Assist client in preparing organization and grant proposal budgets.

 

Grant Compliance

Assist clients in establishing procedures to monitor grant application, compliance, reporting, and preparation for monitoring visits.

 

Liaison to Independent Audit Firm

Assist client in preparing for year-end audit through coordination of audit process; preparation of year-end audit schedules requested by independent audit firm; and assist in management letter comment implementation.

 

Controller/CFO By The Hour

Review work performed by finance/accounting department staff, train personnel, coordinate monthly general ledger closing process, oversee preparation of monthly financial statements, implement internal control procedures, and perform various other tasks as requested by client and/or identified by firm involvement.

 

Software Evaluation

Review and evaluate various general ledger, fixed asset, donor, and human resource management software and make recommendation to management, then coordinate implementation.

 

Coordination of Auditor Selection Process

Lead process of procuring bids, reviewing proposals, arranging interviews, consulting references and assisting audit and finance committee in selecting an audit firm.

Workshop combines several courses into one, to address six key areas of a woman's life--balancing skills, aging parents, family life, organizing her life, managing money, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Course is ideal for women transitioning from shelters, single moms, baby boomers raising children while caring for aging parents, divorcees starting over, and others.

 

Assertiveness Training

Workshop is designed to define assertiveness, compare and contrast assertiveness with aggressiveness, and discuss the importance of assertive behavior in the role of positive mental health.

Seminar is designed to teach participants how to organize important documents and begin to protect their family and their assets.

Seminar is designed to educate participants on the various components of customer service. Seminar will teach participants the realities of their behavior and that of the customer and will show how these behaviors play into the ultimate satisfaction of the customer.

Seminar is designed to teach the participant how to conduct a successful presentation before an audience. Focus is placed on preparation for the presentation, preparation of the speaker, and keys to creating the presentation.

 

Time Management

Course helps participants identify how they spend their time and provides several tips to assist in managing the time more effectively. Course also looks at life goals and priorities and walks participants through completing a life mission statement.

 

Dealing With Difficult People
